VULTURE KING is a fiercely passionate heavy rock band from Monterey, California, with strong gothic, doom, and blues influences. Their music is heavy and moody, driven by engaging and dramatic riff-oriented hooks. Danny Frank’s powerful baritone and imposing physical presence, Patrick Golden’s searing seven-string guitar work, and the thunderous backbone of Steve Lenard (drums) all fuel the intense music of this forward-thinking band.

In the late Spring of 2011, Vulture King released their debut EP, The Death of Day, to immediate rave reviews. Within 24 hours of its the release, the album had garnered multiple five-star ratings on iTunes (where it was a Featured Release under the category “Metal”.) It is thirty-six minutes of dark bluesy, metallic riffage, fronted by a rock rarity: subterranean baritone vocals.
